Condolence:
I want to extend my sincere condolences to the Adams family.

I have known Terry for more than 20 years. We met in the early 1990s. We worked together in the National Capital Region, Office of Communications until he retired in 2012. Even after his retirement Terry and I remained friends.

Terry was a professional photographer for the office, he always told me, being a photographer for the National Park Service was one of the most exciting and demanding positions he had ever held. When we talked, which was a lot, he would say, “ our work puts us right in the mix of everything - national events, First Amendment demonstrations, and presidential inaugurals.” Terry really enjoyed working the Fourth of July national fireworks celebration, that was his favorite. He always photographed the national fireworks from the top of the Netherlands Carillon in Virginia. He alway said he got the best views there.

I was talking to a mutual co-worker of ours, Leonard Lee and he said, “thank God for memories.” Leonard reminded me of one of Terry‘s famous sayings when he photographed individuals at different ceremonies. “A little more happiness please,” Terry would always say.

Terry and I had a great friendship he always kept me laughing. He will be greatly missed.

My thoughts and prayers are with Nicole, Kyung and family during this difficult time. May the love of those around you, help you through the days ahead.

We can shed tears that he is gone or we can smile because he has lived.

Farewell my friend

Condolence: I want to extend my deepest heartfelt sympathy to Nicole, Terry's wife and family. I am sorry to have not learned of Terry's passing so that I could personally pay my respects. Please know you are all in my prayers at this most difficult time. Terry was a very, very close, valued, and cherished friend. He and I worked together at the National Park Service, NCR, for almost 30 years. I also worked closely with him in his photography business for numerous years. He was a wonderful man and a close loyal friend. Also always willing to assist a friend in need, which he demostrated many times. He was a keen businessman with an eye and drive for success, had wonderfully wicked sense of humor, loved to laugh, and always strived for the best in life. The public persona did not truly depict the true private Terry. I am so thankful and honored to have known the private side. Nicky, know that he loved you so much and was so very proud of your success and accomplishments as an adult woman. Terry will be greatly missed by me and all who knew him. I honestly hope he realized how many people liked, loved & appreciated him. Though I had not seen him since he left NCR, like so many, I have lost a truly great friend that can/will never be replaced. Terry was one of a kind!!

Condolence: When I was young, if you admired a guy, you would say he was a "gentleman and a scholar". Terry was definitely both of those. As a former brother-in-law, we got along well and he was always willing to help and support me. He will be missed by all who loved him.

Condolence: My condolences to the Adams families. I'm sorry to hear about the loss of dear Terry. Some Bible scriptures that have helped me during times of loss include Isaiah 26:19 and Psalm 37:28,29 which states in part: "Your dead ones will live...They will rise up". And the Bible also says "The righteous themselves will possess the earth, and they will forever reside upon it". Therefore the Bible promises that we may be reunited with our loved ones lost in death by means of an earthly resurrection. This is further confirmed by John 5:28,29 which says "Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out. This is possible thanks to Jesus Christ's ransom sacrifice. Thus we have a genuine hope of everlasting life in a world without wickedness or suffering. I hope that these scriptures will be of some comfort to you.
