Obituary for Lori Jean Crowder (Mutchler)

Lori Jean (Mutchler) Crowder 43 of Bunker Hill, West Virginia died on Sunday at Hospice of the Panhandle in Kearneysville, West Virginia. She was the wife of James E. Crowder, at home. Jim and Lori would have celebrated their 13th Wedding Anniversary on August 7th.

She was born in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania; daughter of Daniel J. and Linda C. (Sebring) Spalluto of East Stroudsburg, PA. She was a resident of West Virginia for 12 years, prior to that Virginia and most of her lifetime a Monroe county resident of Pennsylvania.

She graduated from Bloomsburg University with a dual degree in early childhood and elementary education in 1996 and was a 1992 graduate of Stroudsburg High School. She was a Kindergarten teacher at E. Wilson Morrison Elementary School in Front Royal, Virginia for the past 14 years. She was also a substitute teacher for the Stroudsburg School District for two years.

She was a member of St. Leo’s Roman Catholic Church in Inwood, West Virginia and a former member of the Church of St. Luke in Stroudsburg.

In addition to her husband and parents, she is survived by her loving son Zachary J. Crowder at home; Brother Thomas S. Mutchler husband of Juliet Cox of Cromwell, CT. Also many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces and Nephews.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Brown Funeral Homes' South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood.

Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, August 9, 2017 with Father Alfred Obiudu Celebrant at the chapel in Inwood.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations should be made to E. Wilson Morrison Elementary School in care of: Valarie Raistrick 40 Crescent Street, Front Royal, VA 22630.
