Obituary for Ralph R. Shade

Ralph R.  Shade
Ralph R. Shade, 84, of Inwood, passed away, Friday, June 30, 2017 at the VA Medical Center.
Born January 4, 1933 in Martinsburg, he was the son of the late Charles R. Shade and Cleta Funkhouser Shade.
He was a veteran of the U. S. Army, a member of the Mountain Chapel Presbyterian Church, and also a member of the Peacemaker Huntington Lodge.
Ralph was a retired orchardist and owner of Shade's Orchard.
He is survived by one son, Jeffrey S. Shade and wife, Melissa, of Gerrardstown; two daughters, Kimberly D. McNamee and husband, Patrick, of Martinsburg and Karen D. Shade, of Gerrardstown; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; two brothers, G. Leroy Shade of Martinsburg and Galen R. Shade of Gerrardstown; and two sisters, Linda Brining of Martinsburg and Brenda K. Miller of Gerrardstown.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Lillian Willingham Shade; a son, Thomas Craig Shade, two sisters, Doris McCarty and Catherine Shade.
Family will receive friends Wednesday, July 5, 2017 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Brown Funeral Homes' South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood.
Services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, July 6, 2017 at the Chapel in Inwood with The Rev. Dr. J. Bradford Langdon officiating. Interment will be in Gerrardstown Presbyterian Cemetery.
