Obituary for Jean Lorraine McDonald (Siler)

Jean Lorraine Siler McDonald, 79, of Kearneysville passed away on Sunday, April 2, 2017 at Clary Grove Nursing Home.

Born August 15, 1937 in Martinsburg she was the daughter of the late Robert Alexander Siler and Ida Susan Butler Siler.

She was retired from Corning Glass and was a member of Snyder’s Bible Chapel.

She is survived by a daughter, Ethel Elizabeth “Libby” Potter and husband, Roger; two sons, Robert “Gene” McDonald and Kenneth W. McDonald eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brothers, George Robert Siler, William Everett Siler and Raymond Leroy Siler; a sister, Anna Marie Barrett; a special niece, Robin Gossard; and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Otterbein McDonald; and her twin sister, Joan McCauley.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.at Brown Funeral Home. Eastern Star service will be held on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m.on Thursday, April 6, 2017 at Brown Funeral Home with Pastor Donald Dick officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens.

Memorial contributions may be made to Snyder’s Bible Chapel.
