Obituary for Mary Elizabeth Jones (Painter)
Mary Elizabeth Jones, 80, of Harpers Ferry, passed away at home Wednesday, February 15, 2017. Born December 31, 1936, in Berryville, VA, she was the daughter of the late James Painter and Hattie Popkins Painter.
She was a very loving mother to her son, Paxton Jones, at home.
In addition to Paxton, Mary is survived by her brother, Charlie Painter, and wife Linda, of Winchester, VA, and two sisters: Ruby Colbert, and husband Louis, of Charles Town, and Kathleen Painter, of Middleway.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Baker Jones, and three brothers: Leroy, Jimmy, and Ernest Painter.
Services and interment will be private.
