The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Shane Davis can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence: I'm so sorry. My heart hurts for the pain of your loss. Since Jesus compared death to sleep (John 11:11-14), something that brings me comfort is knowing that there is no cozier & safer place to be than taking a 'nap' in God's memory until the time he promises to awake these loved ones we have lost in death, to be reunited with us. (John 15:28,29) He then promises to get rid of death forever & tenderly wipe away all the tears it has caused (Isaiah 25:8), & restore the earth to his original purpose of a peaceful, beautiful paradise. (Psalm 37:11) What a beautiful day that is to look forward to, being able to once again hold these ones we love & miss so dearly in our arms, & be held in their arms again too, & to know we can then do so forever under such perfect conditions. (Psalm 37:29) It's just around the corner. Sending hugs.

Condolence: Dear Lisa:
I am so heartfelt sorry for the loss of your husband and your children's father. He was way too young to leave you and the kids. However, he is now in God's arms. I hope you can take comfort in the fact that he is in a state of peace. Love to you, Joyce

Condolence: My sincere condolences on the loss of your loved one. The Bible is the source of lasting hope and comfort. In it, it says in Psalms 147:3 "God heals the brokenhearted and binds their wounds." Please use this life-saving Book to draw strength, hope and comfort from God, whenever you need it.

Condolence: My deepest condolences to the Davis family. Although I did not know Shane, I did know his son, Clint, from working with him at the Crossroads Youth Group. Getting to know Clint and seeing the caliber of young man that he is, it is evident that he was and continues to be raised in the very best of ways. I know Clint loves his father as he talked so lovingly of him. Please know that I will hold the Davis family in fervent prayer and will continue to mentor Clint in the ways and love of our Heavenly Father.

Condolence: To the family of Shane Davis: I’m very sorry to hear about your loss, I have also loss ones that were close to me. I want to just share this scripture that brought me comfort. It is found at 2 Corinthians 1:3,4 “Praise be God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our trials so that we may be able to comfort others in any sort of trial with the comfort that we receive from God.”

Condolence: My deepest heartfelt condolences to your family . Losing ones we love is by far the most heartbreaking thing in life to bear. Two scriptures I find comfort in about the promise for the near future are John 5:28, 29, which promises that "the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will.. come out", followed by the beautiful time that Revelation 21:4 describes: "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore." A beautiful time our loved ones who are "sleeping" in death (John 11:11-13) will come back to life & to us right here on an earth of restored peace & health in the near future (Psalms 37:11,29), & we'll never have to worry about losing them again (1 Corinthians 15:26). I hope you'll find comfort in looking forward to the fulfillment of those promises as I do, & knowing that your loved one is not suffering but is at rest until you can see them again, healthy & happy, once again very soon, for all eternity.
