The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Timothy King can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

The lighting of a Memorial Candle not only provides a gesture of sympathy and support to the immediate family during their time of need but also provides the gift of extending the Book of Memories for future generations.

A great Friend and colleague

I've known Tim since the mid 1990's, right after he was hired by Larry Ludke at the Leetown Fisheries Center (as it was called back then, I think). Tim was always eager to share his cool new lab toys with other researchers in FWS/USGS over the years - my technican and I made several trips from Ann Arbor to Leetown to learn new techniques and work with Tim's staff. I had the privilege of working with Tim on the steering committee for the very first USGS ICEBIRG (Intergration and Collaboration on Emerging Biological Issues and Research Goals - Molecular Tools) meeting, held at NCTC and the Leetown Science Center in 2000. My favorite memory of Tim was watching him in the back of a conference room at an American Fisheries Society meeting, furiously working on a powerpoint presentation that we were collaborating on, as I was giving my talk at the front of the room. His part of the talk was less than 15 minutes later...!! Tim's curiousity and his infectious smile will be dearly missed. Godspeed, my friend.  Mary Burnham Curtis, USFWS National Fish and WIldlife Forensics Laboratory
