Obituary for Philip James Werner
Philip James Werner, 70, of Hedgesville, WV passed away on Monday, February 8, 2016 at the Hospice of the Panhandle Inpatient Facility.
Born July 16, 1945 in Greensboro, NC he was the son of the late James F. and Stella Lorraine Morris Werner.
He was a veteran of the US Army. He received the highest score for a US Army NCO in Officer's Training Qualification. He was a Purple Heart recipient.
He received his Bachelors degree in Business Management and was a retired technical manager for AT&T.
He is survived by his wife, Susan Carol Wilkerson Werner; one son, Major Edward James Werner, Ret. Air Force; one daughter, Vivienne Lorraine Schofner; and three grandchildren, Will, Noah, and Zeke Werner.
Memorial service Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at 11:00am at the Brown Funeral Home, South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood, WV, with Chaplain Thomas Mitchell officiating.
Family will receive friends from 10:00AM to 11:00AM on Tuesday prior to the service.
