Obituary for David Allen "Buck" Wells

David Allen “Buck” Wells, 65 of Harpers Ferry, was reunited in love with his wife, Sharon Marie Embrey Wells, in heaven on Sunday, September 10, 2017. Born March 26, 1952 in Leesburg, Virginia, he was the son of the late Russell Eugene Wells and Bessie Rebecca Harrison Wells. Buck was of the Baptist faith. He loved his family and playing cards with his friends on Saturday nights. He liked camping on the river and pitching horseshoes. He had worked as a laborer for Maryland Cast Stone.

He is survived by his daughter, Amy DeNio and husband Rick and his son, David Wells, Jr. and wife Jessica, all of Rockville, Maryland; two brothers, James “Jimbo” Wells and wife Laretta of Kearneysville and Eugene “Gene” Wells of Winchester, Virginia; two sisters, Debbie Wells of Boonsboro, Maryland and Julie Harrison and husband Tony of Harpers Ferry and seven grandchildren Brittni, Ryan and Kylie DeNio and Jeremy, Josie, Jasper and Johnny Wells.

In addition to his wife and parents he was preceded in death by three brothers: Robert “Robin”, John “Sonny” and Russell “Dale” Wells.

A Celebration of Life will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, September 30, 2017 at Buck’s Home, 1374 Duncan Rd., Harpers Ferry, WV 25425 with the Pastor Dr. Craig Bush officiating. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations in Buck’s honor be made to the Trust for Grandchildren, Bank of America, 17501 Redland Rd., Derwood, MD 20855.
