Obituary for Robert Ronald Rude

Robert Ronald Rude, 73, of Falling Waters, WV passed away Thursday, August 10, 2017 at Hospice of the Panhandle Inpatient Facility.

Born September 9, 1943, in Pompton Lakes, NJ, he was the son of the late Edward Milton Rude, Sr. and Helen Viola Babcock Rude.

Robert was a graduate of Martinsburg High School class of 1962, a diesel mechanic and truck driver for over 50 years for Edward M. Rude Carrier Corporation. He was a Veteran of the United States Army Reserves. He was a past member of the Elks Club and the Moose Lodge.

He enjoyed building and flying model airplanes, he loved motorcycles and anything with a motor that would go fast.

Robert is survived by a son, Robert "Biff" Rude; a daughter, Ashley Rude Miller; two nephews, Barry and Karl Rude; and a brother, Edward M. Rude, Jr.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, E. Douglas Rude.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 17, 2017 at 1:30PM at Brown Funeral Home with family receiving friends from 12:30PM to 1:30PM prior to the service. Interment will be in Rosedale Cemetery.
