My Dear Friend Deb

I first met Deborah at Heritage Hall when I would go there on Fridays when Mr. Leonard Young would preach.  I would play the piano for his services.  I am from Baltimore but came every Friday he preached and then began to come on Sundays just to visit my friends in Heritage Hall.  Deborah and I hit it off right from the start.  Her sense of humor and my feelings for her having to be in Heritage Hall made me even more determined to maintain my friendship with Deborah.

The jewelry she created for me was amazing and one time when I came she had a bracelet for me she had made.  I askd her to make me a pair of earrings which said she would get  friend to do for me.  I still have the  bracelet and the earrings.

I would push her around to the different areas for eating and also to visit others in the facility.  I played BINGO with her on a few occasions.  She always had a smile for me and we corresponded on FACEBOOK as well.

At Christmas she gave me the most beautful figurine of a crystal church with a steeple on it.  I must say it is beautiful.  She told me she hoped I liked it because she had a friend get it especially for me at a flea market.  It means the world to me.

I am so saddened with the passing of my dearest friend at Heritage Hall.  I simply can not describe how sad I was when I learned of her passing.

She was to me very intelligent and knew the Bible well.

I could never understand why she was there  to begin with other than her diabetes.

When I gave her money to add minutes to her phone she was like a child with new toy.  She sent me many texts and pictures and could not stop thanking me enough.

I will never forget the good times we shared together and would give anything to see her smiling face again but I know she is now with Jesus and no longer suffering from any sickness.

Deborah, I miss you so much but look forward to seeing you in heaven.

Love always,

Marsha from Baltimore
