John Lee Whaling, 48, of Martinsburg, WV went to be with the Lord, with the love of his life, Blake by his side on Friday July 28, 2017 in Winchester, VA.

John was born on July 11, 1969 in Richmond, VA he was the son of the late Alfred Whaling and Virgie Sullivan Whaling.

He was survived by his soul mate E. Blake Butts Whaling whom he married on August 29, 2015; one brother Dennis Whaling of King George, VA, and his beloved dog Duchess.

John was a supervisor and trainer for FedEx. He loved large trucks and was a very compassionate person. He attended King George High School; volunteered with Chancellor Company 5 Fire Department in Spotsylvania, VA for eight years and was the recipient of Rookie of the Year. John attended Bedington United Methodist Church

Family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Brown Funeral Home.

Services will be held on Wednesday August 2, 2017 at 12:00 pm at Brown Funeral Home with Jason Blosser officiating.

Interment will be at Rosedale Cemetery.
