Obituary for Mary Estelle Hart

Mary Estelle Hart, 80 of Charles Town passed away Monday, June 12, 2017 in the Winchester Medical Center. Born March 27, 1937 in Charles Town, she was the daughter of the late George E. Turner and Parthenia Clay Turner.
Mary was a member of the Zion Baptist Church, where she served as a trustee, missionary and choir member. She was employed for 10 years at the Charles Town Race Track and was with Badger-Powhatan for 3 years. She was a caregiver for many years and had mothered many children in her community.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Lee Hart at home; son Mac Mitchell, and wife Katrina, of Martinsburg; one brother, Paul Turner, and wife Geraldine, of Connecticut, sisters-in-law Claudia Turner, of Winchester, Virginia, Alice Stanton, of Ranson, Mary Dodson, of Baltimore, Maryland, and Bitzy Turner, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; several nieces, nephews and a host of other friends and family.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by four brothers, Charles Lee Turner,Francis L. Turner, Sr., William “Bill” Turner and Sainty M. Turner, Sr.
Funeral services will be held at noon Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at the Zion Baptist Church with the Reverend J. Kevin Mangram officiating. Interment will be in the Pleasant View Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service at the church.
