Ruby Marie  Cleaver
Ruby Marie Emery Cleaver, 83, of Inwood, WV, went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 2, 2017.
Born on February 6, 1934, in Stephenson, VA, she was the daughter of the late Charles Jackson Emery and Maphie Edna May Emery.
She was a member of the Family Worship Center Church of God. She was also a member of the American Bible Society, and was the bass player for the bluegrass gospel singing group “The Christian Friends”. She never met a stranger and was very loving . She was very giving and had a Heart of Gold.
She attended Musselman High School and Strayer College, and had been employed as a staff assistant at C & P Telephone Company.
She is survived by a one brother Charles E. Emery; one sister, Mabel E. Anderson; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnson Lindbergh Cleaver; and sister Elsie V. Borror.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, June 8, 2017 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at the Brown Funeral Home South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, June 9, 2017 at 11:00AM at South Berkeley Chapel with Pastor David Palmer, officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Hebron Cemetery in Winchester, VA.
Family would like to thank Shenandoah Oncology, Dr. Major and his staff for their wonderful care and support of Ruby over the years along with Blue Ridge Hospice.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
