Gary Louis "Gus"  Shores
Gary Louis Shores, "Gus," 69, of Kearneysville, passed away Saturday, May 20, 2017, at the Winchester Medical Center. Born Aug. 2, 1947, in Canebrake, WV, he was the son of the late Lillard Riley Shores and Ina Mildred June Brewer.
Gus was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was a Washington Nationals fan and an avid baseball card collector. He like the Redskins, NASCAR, and “cutting the grass.” He was a printer for The Printery.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Elizabeth Bulman Shores, “Beth,” at home, three children: Sandra L. Engleman, and husband Brian, of Jefferson, Maryland, John E. Duffy, and wife Charlene, of Charles Town, and Christina A. Price, and companion Paul Helm, Jr., of Hagerstown, Maryland; two brothers: Harold Shores, and wife Beth, of New Freedom, Pennsylvania, and Charlie Shores, of Sterling, Virginia; three sisters: Louise Candaleria, and husband Angel, of Staunton, Virginia, Sue Lew, and husband Eugene, of Olney, Maryland, and Robin Shores, of Kent Island, Maryland; seven grandchildren: P.J., Ryan, Danielle, Vincent, Rachel, Dillon, and Claudia; three great grandchildren: Raylan, Logan, and Madalyn, and numerous extended family members and friends.
A celebration of life will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, June 10, 2017, at the South Berkeley Chapel. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to your favorite charity.
