Obituary for Beverly Frances Nadenbousch (French)

Beverly Frances French Nadenbousch, age 76, departed this life on Wednesday, May 17, 2017. She was living at Martinsburg at the time of her death.

Mrs. Nadenbousch was born in the town of Hedgesville, WV. She attended all twelve grades at what is now Hedgesville Middle School. After graduating in 1958, she attended what is now Shepherd University. After getting her degree, she taught for the Berkeley County Board of Education for 35 years, most of which was at Winchester Avenue Elementary School. She received numerous awards during her tenure, the most notable being runner-up for Berkeley County Teacher of the Year.

Her greatest devotion was to her children and three granddaughters. But no one meant more to her than the love of her life, Marvin Collins Nadenbousch with whom she shared their life and love for 54 years. As Beverly often said as they each got older, "We may not have it all together, but TOGETHER we have it all!"

Beverly is survived by her husband Marvin, her daughter Jeannie Nadenbousch-Beer, her son Brian K. Nadenbousch and wife Sandra, her three granddaughters (who she always said could light up her world), Emily Rose Nadenbousch, Hannah Elizabeth Nadenbousch, and Jordan Nicole Beer.

She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Ralph and Madeline French, her precious sister Pat (French) Silver, and her devoted brother Charles "Sonny" French.

Mrs. Nadenbousch was a member of Hedgesville United Methodist Church for much of her life. She became a member of Pikeside United Methodist Church in 2006. She was an active member of both church choirs, which gave her much joy.

Beverly was a member of Hedgesville Chapter #67, Order of the Eastern Star, serving as Worthy Matron for two terms. With the closing of the Hedgesville Chapter, she became a member of Golden Rule Chapter #69 in Martinsburg where she had been a member since 2005.

One of the great joys of Bev's life was meeting a wonderful group of friends who called themselves "The Beach Bunch." They enjoyed that camaraderie that only happens once in a lifetime. They looked after each other in times of happiness and times of great sorrow.

Viewing will be at Brown Funeral Home in Martinsburg on Saturday, May 20, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm with a memorial service given by Golden Rule Chapter #69, Martinsburg, Order of Eastern Star. Graveside service will be on Sunday, May 21, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Rosedale Cemetery.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Pikeside United Methodist Church
