Obituary for Barbara Ann Alger (Walker)

Barbara Ann Alger, 72 of Ranson passed away Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at her home under the care of Hospice. Born January 18, 1945 in Charles Town she was the daughter of the late John William Walker and Brucie Ellen Henry Walker. She was of Baptist faith. Barbara worked as a machine operator for Berryville Graphics for 40 years. She loved her family and friends, enjoyed playing bingo and slot machines. She is survived by one son John R. Alger, one daughter, Tammy Alger and companion Gary all of Ranson, four sisters, Nancy Libby of Arlington, Virginia, Betty Jenkins of Charles Town, Frances Custer and husband William of Ranson and Sara Southard of Shenandoah Junction, four grandchildren, Joshua Frye, Brieanna Hummer, Alexis and Deann Taylor and one great grandson, William T. Goff IV. Inaddition to her parents she was preceded in death by five siblings and grandson, William T. Goff III. Services and interment will be private.
