Obituary for Mabel Marguerite Butts (Murphy)
Mabel Marguerite Butts, 92, of Martinsburg, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at the Berkeley Medical Center.
Born January 28, 1925 in Hedgesville, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Irvin Murphy and Amy Virginia Hedges Murphy.
She was a member of the Hedgesville Assembly of God Church.
She was employed by Penn Wire Rope and Handy & Harman Automotive.
She is survived by her son, William Terry Butts and wife, Roxanna, of Falling Waters; brother, Bernard L. Murphy of Hedgesville; sister, Juanita V. Harrison of Martinsburg; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Dorsey Butts; five brothers, Paul D., Lester L., Ralph K., Carl H., and Cecil I. Murphy; and sister, Frances L. Shirley.
Family will receive friends on Saturday, May 13, 2017 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Brown Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be held on Sunday, May 14, 2017 at 2:00PM at Hedgesville Assembly of God with Pastor Christopher Jones and Pastor Louis Whitford officiating.
Interment will be in Hedgesville Assembly of God Cemetery
