Obituary for David Edward Knipe

David Edward  Knipe
David Edward Knipe, 62, of Martinsburg passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at the Meritus Medical Center Palliative Care Unit with his family at his side.

Born April 9, 1955 in Berkeley County, WV he was the son of the late Charles Edward Knipe, Jr. and Colleen Elizabeth Breeden Knipe.

He attended Johnsontown Church of the Brethren.

He had been employed with Community Auto Parts, Opequon Motors, and Advance Auto Parts. He liked the Redskins, NASCAR, and John Wayne movies.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Catherine "Cathy" Hite Knipe; one son, Bradley Knipe and wife, Erica Miller Knipe; one daughter, Amanda "Mandy" Knipe and wife, Alana Preston; two brothers, Charles Stephen Knipe and wife, Pam, Robert "Bobby" Knipe; one sister, Brenda Cloud and husband, Robbie; and his favorite dog, PJ.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Daniel William "Bill" Knipe.

Family will receive friends on Friday, May 5, 2017 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Brown Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at 10:30AM at Brown Funeral Home with Pastor Denny Rhoe and Pastor Larry Westcott officiating.

Interment will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Panhandle Home Health, 208 Old Mill Road, Martinsburg, WV 25401.
