Kendel Thomas Duvall, 67, of Martinsburg passed away on Saturday, April 15, 2017.

Born July 3, 1949 in Martinsburg, WV he was the son of the late Harry Thomas Duvall and Agnes C. Miller Duvall.

Throughout his years of schooling Kendel excelled as an outstanding athlete and enjoyed being a member of the Drama Club while in high school.Kendel was a 1968 graduate of Martinsburg High School. He continued his education at Fairmont State College graduating in 1972 with his degree in Business Administration. While attending Fairmont State College Kendel wrestled for the Falcons.

He enjoyed music, especially the music of Bob Dylan.

He was a veteran of the US Army. Prior to enlisting the U.S Army he was employed at Dupont. He served in the U.S. Army in 1984 and 1985 being stationed in Germany for both years. While in the military Kendel was an expert marksman medaling in rifle and pistol.

After his service in the military, Kendel went to work at Dulles Airport and retired after 24 years of service. In his spare time he enjoyed being outside fishing and kayaking.
Kendel was a wonderful and loyal son caring for his mother until her passing at the age of 91.

He is survived by his siblings, June Carter, Donna Strowbridge, Shirley O'Roke, Carol Huffman, Pam Hess, Rick Duvall, Lisa Kline, and Benny Duvall.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Yvonne "Puffy" Duvall.

Family will receive friends on Friday, April 28, 2017 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Brown Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at 11:00AM at Brown Funeral Home with Pastor David Miller.

Military graveside services will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens.
