The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Elsie Kershner Wilburn can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence From: Condolences
Condolence: My deepest heartfelt condolences to your family . Losing ones we love is by far the most heartbreaking thing in life to bear. Two scriptures I find comfort in about the promise for the near future are John 5:28, 29, which promises that "the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will.. come out", followed by the beautiful time that Revelation 21:4 describes: "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore." A beautiful time our loved ones who are "sleeping" in death (John 11:11-13) will come back to life & to us right here on an earth of restored peace & health in the near future (Psalms 37:11,29), & we'll never have to worry about losing them again (1 Corinthians 15:26). I hope you'll find comfort in looking forward to the fulfillment of those promises as I do, & knowing that your loved one is not suffering but is at rest until you can see them again, healthy & happy, once again very soon, for all eternity. Condolence From: Wendell and Janice Christopher
Condolence: "Mom Elsie" was the name given to this loving lady who provided childcare for our children during their preschool years. Both Heidi and Kip remember "Mom Elsie" as their surrogate grandmother in Martinsburg since they had no biological grandparents in the area. They were blessed to have her consistent love, patience, structure, and guidance during these important formative years. We now live in Morgantown but visited with Elsie last July and were so happy we had another opportunity at that time to let her know we will forever be grateful for her care of our children and for her never-ending interest in them. And, oh, how could we possibly forget those scrumptious sugar cookies!!

As Elsie's wonderful family celebrates her life and grieves her loss, we want them to know that the Christopher family's journey was richer because of Elsie and Bill Wilburn's presence in our lives. Thanks for sharing them with us.

Our sympathy and love to all.

Condolence From: Derek Slonaker
Condolence: Rick, Linda, Kathy and familes.

I pray for your comfort in the loss of your mother. She was a very kind and giving person. She also corrected us all when we needed it except on the rare occasion she didn't catch our mischief. I recall she had medical issues for years but was able to live a long and rewarding life. She got to see her children grow up and prosper. She lived not only long enough to see grandchildren, and great grandchildren but also great great grandchildren and "George." We can't forget George. Your mom died in the faith! I don't know how anyone could have lived and led a better life. She not only touched our lives but also generations to come because of the good seed she left behind. May God bless and comfort each of you in this time and help you to be of good cheer because another Saint has gone home.

Condolence From: Mrs. Edwards
Condolence: I want to give my deepest condolences on the passing of your dear loved one, I pray that your family will find comfort in the God of all comfort Jehovah. I too have suffered such loss and it's never easy to say goodby to those we love, however I was able to find hope in Gods word the bible. Isaiah 33:24 And no resident will say:"I am sick" The people dwelling in the land will be pardoned for their error... What a wonderful time it will be when no one ever again will get sick or die.

Condolence: Aunt Elsie. We will miss you. You leave a big family behind to mourn your passing but you travel to the great family reunion beyond to see Uncle Bill and all those family members and friends who passed before. We should all rejoice in knowing this. I wish you God speed and a joyous new beginning. Until we meet again. Paul
