Obituary for Patricia C. Bunnell (Davis)

Patricia C. Bunnell (Davis)
Patricia C. Bunnell, a resident of Berkeley Co. for over 26 years has passed away. In her final days she talked a lot about her family and those who have gone before her, especially her two sisters, Diane Griffin and Marilyn Davis, as well as her parents, Mary Ramsey-Davis of New York and James B. Davis of Texas.

In her time in Berkeley Co., Patricia was involved in her Catholic Church and its' school functions; as well as various charitable events with the Loyal Order of the Moose.

Family was everything to Patricia. She used to tell us, "All you have is each other, love one another!" Words to live by and she did just that! She loved nothing more than spending time with her five children. When asked what her greatest accomplishment/rewards were in life, she would say her kids: Christine Stoddard, Kevin Volpe, Mary Foster and John Volpe, all of Berkeley Co., and her eldest son, Michael "Tex" Volpe of West Haven Connecticut.

Patricia is survived by all her children and her five grandchildren: Meagan, Ashley, Kaitlyn, Christopher and Michelle. She was very fortunate to spend time with her great-grandchildren, Jerzi and Ethan.

Patricia is also survived by her only niece, who was just another one of her children, Janice Griffin of Honesdale, Pennsylvania, and her four children.

Patricia wanted us to thank all those who stood by her side during her journey into the light. Dr. Ryan McCarthy and his office staff; Connie of St. Joseph Church whose weekly visits brought her great peace; Hospice of the Panhandle; her family and close friends - especially her future son-in-law, Jerry LeRoy; future daughter-in-law, Donna Weatherholtz; and Carla White.

Patricia is being laid to rest in a private graveside ceremony with her loving family by her side. Interment prayers will be given by Father Eric Hall of St. Joseph Church.

Mom's famous last words... "It is what it is, I'm off to meet my maker!"

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Hospice of The Panhandle, 330 Hospice Lane, Kearneysville, WV 25430.

Arrangements are by Brown Funeral Home.
