Mary Ann DeShong Bishop Risinger, 81, of Hedgesville, WV and formerly of Williamsport and Clear Spring, MD, died Saturday, April 8, 2017 at her home.
Mary Ann was born March 27, 1936 in Hancock, Md., to the late Bryan De Shong and Mary Marguerite Schetromff De Shong. Mary Ann graduated from Hancock High School in 1955. She was employed by Hagerstown Day Nursery and Angstrom Precision. She was a member of Independent Church of God.
Mary Ann is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Jack Risinger; six sons, Rocky Bishop, Sr. and wife June of Clear Spring, Md., Terry Bishop and wife Diana of Williamsport, Md., Denny Bishop and wife Jennifer of Xenia, IL, Tony Bishop of Hedgesville, WV Tim Risinger and wife, Teresa, of Berkeley Springs, WV and Travis Risinger and wife Billie Jo of Berkeley Springs, WV ; and one daughter, Debbie Grapes of Martinsburg; 17 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and a great grandson due on April 13.
She is also survived by one sister, Betty Jane Brill and husband Tip of New Holland, PA; three brothers, Paul DeShong and wife Kathy and Bryan (Junior) DeShong and wife Ginny of Pennsylvania and Benny DeShong and wife Kitty of Hancock., MD.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Hazel Johnson and Madeline Mellott and two brothers, Bud DeShong and James DeShong.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, April 10, 2017 at Brown Funeral Home.
Services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at Independent Church of God Rt# 9 with Pastors Lynnie and Ada Ambrose officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery on River Road.
