Obituary for Howard Franklin "Frank" Brown

Howard "Frank" Brown, 81, of Martinsburg, passed away on Monday, March 27, 2017 at Berkeley Medical Center.

Born July 12, 1935, in Martinsburg, he was the son of the late Grover Cleveland Brown and Nellie DeHaven Brown.

He was a veteran of the United States Army and a 50 year member of the Christ Reformed Church.

He is survived by one son, Bradley C. Brown and wife, Traci, of Martinsburg; one daughter, Melanie A. Grimm and husband, Todd, of Orlando, FL; four grandchildren, Alex Spradling and wife Laura, Chelsea Maher and husband, Fergus, Emily Brown, and Charlsie Grimm; two great-grandchildren, Wyatt and Sawyer Spradling; and one sister, Phyllis A. Chambers and husband, Donald "Sonny", of Martinsburg.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Dolores Ann "Dee" Brown.

Family will receive friends on Friday, March 31, 2017 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Brown Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at 11AM at Brown Funeral Home with Rev. Thomas Hartshorn officiating.

Interment will be in Rosedale Cemetery with military honors.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
