Obituary for Norman Doty Powell

Norman Doty Powell, 83, of Falling Waters, passed away Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.

Born July 31, 1933 in Baltimore, Maryland, he was the son of the late John Calvin Powell and Bessie Virginia Unglesbee Powell.

He was a retired Teamster. He loved spending time with his family and friends eating crabs and playing cards.

He is survived by two sons, Gerald D. Powell of Falling Waters and Randall J. Powell of Salisbury, Maryland; two daughters, Karen Sue Powell of Bowie, Maryland and Terry M. Boone of Hedgesville; 9 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; brothers James, Edward and Earl Powell and sister Bertha Frederick; Cathy, Linda, Joyce, and Mickey whom he loved as his own children; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services and interment are private.

Arrangements are by Brown Funeral Home.
