Sandra Kay Shepherd Barrett, 67, of Martinsburg, passed away on Friday, March 17, 2017 at the Hospice of the Panhandle Inpatient Facility.
Born January 29, 1950 in Martinsburg, she was the daughter of the late Harris Leon Shepherd, Sr. and Bernice Louise Kackley Shepherd.
She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Bruce Wayne Barrett, Sr.; two sons, Bruce W. Barrett, Jr. and Ricky L. Barrett, both of Martinsburg; three daughters, Christina M. Braithwaite of Winchester, VA, Cindy L. Barrett of Ponchatoula, LA, and Dawn M. Barney of Martinsburg; fourteen grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one great-granddaughter, Leah; and two brothers, Harris L. “Jesse” Shepherd and Terry L. Shepherd.
Family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 from 7:00PM to 9:00PM at Brown Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00PM on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at Brown Funeral Home with Rev. Raymond Martin officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens.
