Edgar E.  Black Jr.
Edgar E. Black, Jr., 82, of Shepherdstown passed way on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at the Hospice of the Panhandle Inpatient Facility.

Born August 30, 1934 in Hagerstown, MD he was the son of the late Edgar E. Black, Sr. and Betty Catherine Bechtel Black.

He was a 1952 graduate of Hagerstown High School. He was a member of the 29th Division Association Post 729, and Western Maryland Railway Old Timers. He was inducted into the National Jousting Hall of Fame and rode under the title of Knight of Old Glory.

He is survived by his wife, Jill Reyer Black; a son, Dennis Lee Black and wife, Beverly of Fairplay, MD; one brother, James M. Black and wife, Pamela of Williamsport, MD; and one sister, Judy Black McFall of Auburn, NY.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Lee Black; and one sister, Phyllis Horsey.

There will be no visitation. Graveside services will be private.
