Irene Virginia Horner, 89, of Berkeley Springs, passed away on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at Winchester Medical Center.

Born June 1, 1927 in Gerrardstown, WV, she was the daughter of the late John Ira McDaniel and Sally Virginia McDonald McDaniel.

She attended Union Chapel United Methodist Church. She worked in production for Crown Cork and Seal. She also worked in the Apple Industry at National Fruit and Musselman's.

She is survived by her son, Clarence Horner and wife, Robin; two grandchildren, Brian Horner and wife, Angela, and Staci Dawn Horner; four great-grandchildren, Caleb Horner, Isaiah Horner, River Moon Blakeley, and Lakota Sanders; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Lee Horner and six brothers, Isaac, Jesse, Robert, Alfred, Richard, And Samuel McDaniel.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Saturday, March 11, 2017, at Brown Funeral Home South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, March 12, 2017, at Union Chapel United Methodist Church at 10123 Valley Road, Berkeley Springs, 25411, with Rev. Michael Leedom officiating. Interment will be in Rest Cemetery in Clearbrook, VA.
