Obituary for Frederick Wallace Saunders

Frederick Wallace Saunders, 81 of Harpers Ferry passed away Friday, March 3, 2017 at his home under the care of Hospice of the Panhandle. Born March 24, 1935 in Dover, England he was the son of the late George William Saunders and Doris May Chittenden Saunders. He served in the British Military, became U.S. citizen in 1984. He worked as a custodian for the Wesley Theological Seminary. He loved taking in stray animals and called them his people, loved playing outdoor sports such as rugby and cricket.
He is survived by one brother, Gilbert G. Saunders of Dover, England, close friends and caretakers, Patsy Miller, husband Mark and son Christopher and Pastor Dennis Crolley.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Peter G. Saunders.
Services and interment will be private.
