Obituary for Alma Lorraine Seal (Stroop)

Alma Lorraine Seal, 70, of Charles Town, passed away Friday, February 17, 2017, at her daughter’s home while surrounded by her loving family and under the care of Hospice. Born January 5, 1947, in Charles Town, she was the daughter of the late Berryman Allen Stroop and Margie Lee Thacker Stroop.
Lorraine was of the Pentecostal faith. She was a little woman with a BIG heart who loved her family, her dog, and helping those less fortunate than she.
She is survived by her son, Shane Seal, and wife Emily, of Charles Town; daughter, Mickie Viands, and husband Darren, of Ranson; one brother, Berry Stroop, and wife Liz, also of Charles Town; sister, Joyce Henderson, and husband Antonio, of Tacoma, Washington; three grandchildren: Summer, Austin, and Elijah Viands, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Pete Seal, Jr.
A funeral service will be held 1 pm, Tuesday, February 21, 2017, at the Jefferson Chapel Funeral Home, with Brother Mike Weller officiating. Interment will be in the Pleasant View Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm, Monday, February 20, 2017 at the Jefferson Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations in Lorraine’s memory be made to Hospice of the Panhandle, 330 Hospice Lane, Kearneysville, WV 25430.
