The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Phyllis Shepard can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence: I first met your mom and dad when I worked at the senior center in Martinsburg. I was so scared and wondered at that time if I could do the job, I was in charge of entertainment and programs for the seniors. I honestly have to say, your mom and dad, basically adopted me Monday = Friday work hours. They were two of the nicest people I have ever met. On Fridays your dad would play pool with a group of guys and your mom would sit in her group next to my desk and talk with her friends and we just had a great time. After your dad passed away your mom was so strong, and I did keep in touch with her and visited her at home and we exchanged Christmas cards for many years, I am so sorry that we lost contact and just wanted to tell the children they were two special people for a short time in my life. My thoughts and prayers are with you and I will always have them in my heart.

Condolence: We will keep all of you in our prayers. I ask God of all grace for peace and comfort during this difficult time, and both can be had through what Jesus accomplished with the cross and the empty grave. Rest in peace Aunt Phyllis!

"Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?" The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 1Corinthians 15:55-57
