David Allen Proper, 71, passed away surrounded by his family on Monday, February 13, 2017 at the Berkeley Medical Center.

Born October 27, 1945 in Martinsburg, WV he was the son of the late Myron Allen and Mary Evelyn Laing Proper.

He had been previously employed with Casco Ice for thirty years and K-Mart for ten years.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Jackson Proper; and children, Michael Allen Proper of Bunker Hill; and Dena Renee Kerns of Martinsburg.

Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2016 from 2:00PM to 5:00PM at the Back Creek Valley Junior Order of United American Mechanics Lodge, 2030 Back Creek Valley Road, Hedgesville, WV 25427.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Berkeley County Humane Society, 554 Charles Town Road, Martinsburg, WV 25405.
