Obituary for Donald Duane Grapes
Donald Duane Grapes, 86, of Martinsburg passed away on Friday, February 10, 2017 at Clary Grove Nursing Home.
Born May 2, 1930 in Romney, WV he was the son of the late Denzil L. and Orpha Arnold Grapes.
He was a veteran of the US Army and a member of St. Luke's United Methodist Church.
He is survived by a daughter, Carolyn Allen; three grandchildren, Jennifer Markley, Stephanie Osterman, and Jeffrey Allen; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; one brother, Curtis G. Grapes; and a sister, Shirley Schoppert.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Tharp Grapes; and a granddaughter, Melissa Misiewicz.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Brown Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at 11:00AM at Brown Funeral Home with Pastor John Yost officiating. Interment will be in Paynes Chapel Cemetery.
