Condolence: Sorry to hear of your loss. I imagine Uncle Bill with Aunt Peggy now out antiquing or having fun with past family members. They both brought so much joy to Province Lake. I will always remember the fun family gatherings at Province Lake, Uncle Bill piercing my ears, letting me visit with them for a month the summer of 1976 and the big Thanksgiving dinner they hosted in 1983?.
Love to you all,
Grace

Condolence: Every summer we looked forward to seeing Uncle Bill up at Province Lake. He was always so welcoming and made everyone feel at home. We looked forward to seeing his yard sale treasures including the awesome moped that the grandkids enjoyed to ride, as well as the cute little playhouse that he built with his excellent craftsman skills. There are no words to describe how much he will be missed. Our deepest sympathies go out to the family. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.

Condolence: I have many memories of a very kind man who made what seemed to be very scary moments not so bad to a little girl. What a caring person "Dr. Billy" as we knew him was to my family. So many house calls he made to care for me and my 4 siblings!

My deepest sympathies to his family.

Condolence: Dear All,
I was so surprised to read that your father had passed in the Aiken Standard this week. He was such a wonderful man and in your remembrances you mentioned that he "fiercely independent, frugal, steadfast, and always honest" was so true. It was an honor to have known both he and Peggy. My deepest sympathy to all of the family.

Condolence From: Robert F. Deuell, M.D.
Condolence: I did not grow up wanting to be a physician so I did not realize at the time Dr. Rodgers would be a role model for my medical career. But, I did grow up seeing a kind man make his community better and I appreciated that.

Years later, when I was in medical school, I ran into Dr. Rodgers in the emergency department in Martinsburg while I was there with an ill family member. He was there to see a sick child.

As most people who knew me from my younger years, he was surprised I was going to medical school, but very encouraging and happy I was following that career path. He offered to help me in any way.

He was very kind to the child he was seeing and reassuring to the family in a difficult situation. I never forgot that.

My deepest sympathy to Dr. Rodgers' entire family.

Condolence: Dear Kathy & family;
So sorry to hear of your loss. Your Dad was such a big part of my life growing up. Not only as my childhood physician but again as a nurse. He & my Mom were friends & worked together at KD & at DuPont along with my Dad. I am sure he touched everyone's lives in Martinsburg.
I am back in WY so I will be unable to attend the Memorial. I will be keeping you & your family in my thoughts & prayers.
