Obituary for Mary Lou Kackley (Horner)

Mary Lou Horner Kackley, 80, of Martinsburg, WV went to heaven to be with her Lord and her husband on Friday, January 27, 2017, at Winchester Medical Center.

Born September 22, 1936 in Berkeley County, she was the daughter of the late James Lewis Horner and Georgia Edwards Horner.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church.

She is survived by four sons, Kevin Kackley and wife, Patricia of Shepherdstown, Timothy Kackley and wife, Andrea of Gerrardstown, Donivan Kackley of Martinsburg, Marlin "Marty" Kackley and wife, Bridgett Ann of Martinsburg; one daughter, Kimberley Kay Kackley of Martinsburg; four grandchildren, Travis Rowe, Amber Kackley, Justin Kackley, and Brooke Kackley; thirteen great-grandchildren; two brothers, Larry W. Horner and wife, Barbara of Martinsburg, Randy Horner of Martinsburg; one sister, Linda Hess and husband, John of Martinsburg; brother in-law, and sister in-law, Vernon and Audrey Kackley; a dear friend of over 70 years Shirley Kearns. Long- time pet and companion, her cat, Harvey; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Cletus Coaver Kackley; two grandchildren, Tabitha Moricle and Stephanie Hockenberry and one brother, Ricky J. Horner.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home.

Private graveside services will be held on Thursday, February 2, 2017 at Gerrardstown Presbyterian Cemetery with Pastor Chris Butler officiating.
