Daisy Irene Riner,100, of Inwood, WV, passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at Care Haven Center.
Born September 18, 1916 in Bethlehem, PA, she was the daughter of the late Robert Taylor and Mary Alice Minnick Elwood.
She was employed as a seamstress for 26 years at the Perfection Garment Company. Daisy was a member for 84 years of Butler's Chapel.
She is survived by three daughters, Elsie M. DeHaven of Glengary, Mary F. Bayer and husband Charles of Hedgesville, and Linda K. Mongold and husband Gary of Inwood; 10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren; 2 step great grandchildren; 13 great-great grandchildren and one brother, Robert Elwood.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin C. Riner; a grandson, Tony Miller; one great grandson, Trevor Bayer; two brothers, Clifford Elwood and John Mertz; and two sisters, Bessie L. Riner and Nellie E. Riner and son in-law, Paul DeHaven.
Family will receive friends on Sunday, January 22, 2017 from 4:00PM to 7:00 PM at Brown Funeral Home South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, January 23, 2017 at South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood with Rev. Dr. Forrest Cummings officiating. Interment will be in Rosedale Cemetery.
