Obituary for Joyce Virginia Caton (Miller)

Joyce Virginia Caton, 89, of Martinsburg, passed away January 19, 2017 at the Berkeley Medical Center.

Born December 5, 1927 in Martinsburg, she was the daughter of the late Charles P. Miller and Blanche Greenfield Miller.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church where she taught the 3 year old Sunday School Class. She was also involved with the Girl Scouts.

Joyce retired from the Martinsburg Journal office, where she was the Mail Room Manager.

She is survived by four daughters, Bonnie Lynn Harp, Connie Caton,
Rhonda Foltz, Cathy Caton; two sons, Daniel Caton, Robert Caton; fourteen grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; one brother, Charles Miller; and two sisters, Jackie Hostler and Donna Griffin.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Griff Caton in 1965; one son, John Ambrose; and one sister, Rose Marie Stevens.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, January 22, 2017 at Brown Funeral Home South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood with Rev. Scott Sheets officiating. Interment will be private in Rosedale Cemetery.
