Obituary for Allen Ward Dove

Allen Ward  Dove
Allen Ward Dove, 85, of Kearneysville, passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at the Hospice of the Panhandle Inpatient Facility.

Born September 30, 1931 in Berkeley Co., WV, he was the son of the late Jasper Loy Dove and Josephine Florence Gochenour Dove.

He was a member and deacon of the Tomahawk Christian Church.

He was a veteran of the U. S. Army and retired from 3M.

He was a 1950 graduate of Hedgesville High School.

He is survived by his son, Andrew J. Dove of Irvine, CA; three daughters, Lorri A. Schwartz and husband, Edward K., of Shepherdstown, Allyson K. Mason and husband, Brian R., of Kearneysville, and Bree-Ahna M. Jasper and husband, Kevin, of BelAir, MD; six grandchildren, Laurel Schwartz, Tyler Mason, Logan Mason, Cassandra Jasper, Kyle Jasper and Hailey Rathell; and sister, Ethel Kelley of Falling Waters.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jo Ann Kees Dove; two brothers, Robert L. and Bentley Dove; and two sisters, Elizabeth Swope and Nora Dove.

Many thanks to so many wonderful healthcare professionals who took great care of Allen.

Family will received friends from 6:00PM to 8:00PM on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at Brown Funeral Home South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood and one hour prior the service on Friday from 1:00PM to 2:00PM at Tomahawk Christian Church.

Services will be held at 2:00PM on Friday, January 13, 2017 at Tomahawk Christian Church with Pastor Van Marsceau and Christian Jorgenson officiating.

Interment will be in Jones Springs Cemetery with military graveside services.
