Garry Miller "Gman"  VanMetre
Garry “Gman” Miller VanMetre died peacefully on November 7, 2016, at the age of 79 while at home with his wife and step-granddaughter in Martinsburg, West Virginia.
Garry is survived by his wife, Barbara Feltner; his step-daughter, Julie Feltner, and her fiancée, Mike McCullough; and his step-granddaughter, Amber Feltner; as well as his nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Garry was born in Shepherdstown, West Virginia, on August 9, 1937, to Thomas Douglas VanMetre and Mary Ethel Miller. He graduated from Martinsburg High School in 1955. He married his beloved wife, Barbara, in 1998.
Garry was retired from the 167th Air National Guard, as well as the General Motors Parts Division in Martinsburg, West Virginia. He was a member of the Bedington United Methodist Church.
A memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 pm on Saturday, November 19, 2016, at Bedington United Methodist Church, with receiving one hour before the service. All are welcome to attend in celebration of Garry’s life. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be offered to the Bedington United Methodist Church at 580 Bedington Road, Martinsburg, West Virginia, 25404.
