Obituary for Margarita Serrano Orellana

Margarita Serrano Orellana, 77 of Ranson passed away Saturday, August 13, 2016 in the Winchester Medical Center. Born December 17, 1938 in Chapeltique, El Salvador she was the daughter of the late Juan Pablo Serrano and Maria Clemencia Moreno. She was a member of the St. James Catholic Church. She farmed her own farm, was a foster parent, helped to feed the hungry in her local community. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Jose Alberto Orellana at home, two sons; Gildardo Bladimir Orellana and wife Maria Perez and Manuel De Jesus Orellana all of Los Angeles, two daughters; Maria Clemencia Gonzalez and husband Ruben of Gaithersburg and Patricia Carolina Laramie and fiancé Brian of Ranson, three brothers, Oscar Serrano and wife Annie of Miami, Florida, Gregorio Serrano and Luis Serrano and wife Kathy of San Francisco, five sisters, Amalia Serrano and Virginia Serrano, both of El Salvador, Lucila Serrano of Los Angelas, Ermelinda Serrano of El Salvador and Lillian Serrano of Los Angeles, twenty four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by daughter, Rhina Elizabeth Orellana, brother Hector Serrano. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at the St. Martin of Tours Church, 201 S. Frederick Ave.,Gaitherburg, MD with the Rev. Msgr. Mark E. Brennan officiating. Interment will be in the All Souls Cemetery, 11401 Brink Road, Germantown, Maryland.
The family will receive friend Tuesday from 7-9 PM at the Jefferson Chapel Funeral Home, 114 N. Mildred Street, Ranson, WV 25438.
