Obituary for Thurman Queen

Thurman  Queen
Thurman Queen, Sr. went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at his home while under the care of Hospice of the Panhandle.
He was born in Lexington, North Carolina and had lived in Michigan, Tennessee, and West Virginia. He was retired from General Motors with thirty years of service. He was also a carpenter and also played a big part in starting the Eastern Auto Workers Federal Credit Union.
He will be missed by his wife, Ruth Lucille Queen, his two sons, Thurman Queen Jr. and wife, Karen F. Queen of Martinsburg, David Monroe Queen of Dade City, Florida; two daughters, Diane Williams of Martinsburg and Rebecca Queen Littlepage of Martinsburg; ten grandchildren; twenty six great-grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Baxter Queen and Pearl Franklin Queen; and three brothers, Henry Queen, William C. Queen, and Cecil Queen.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Panhandle, 330 Hospice Lane, Kearneysville, WV 25430.
